Mini Roos

These are exciting times for the Brisbane Strikers Football Club, as this is the first time in the club's history, that we have delivered community-level football at a highly designed level!

Our Mini Roo’s program will be delivered by accredited and qualified coaches- not volunteers, who will work to a well-structured program designed by our Brisbane Strikers Football Department.

Below is a brief summary regarding the Mini Roo’s competition, and structure for you to know what you can expect!

Venue

All training and home games will be delivered from our Brisbane Strikers Perry Park venue, located at 95 Abbotsford Road, Bowen Hills.

Eligibility

The Mini Roos competition fixtures are for children aged between 5-11 years of age on the year they are registering. So, if your child is between the ages of 5-11 next year, we welcome them to the competition!

We openly welcome boys and girls into our competition.

Preseason

We will be delivering our first official pre-season session for the Mini Roos competition effective Thursday, 3rd February 2022 with the format:

Under 6s to Under 8s running from 4.30-5.15pm. Monday and Thursday

Under 9s to Under 11s running from 5.30-6.30pm Monday and Thursday

Mini Roos Season Fixtures

The official competition for Mini Roos is running from April through to September next year, with anticipated dates from Saturday, 23rd April to Saturday, 2nd September 2022.

We are awaiting confirmation re dates from our regulatory body, Football Queensland, to confirm this and the times that these games will be running.

In our Mini Roos competition, children will have the opportunity to participate in community-based play, where they can compete against other children their own age.

For children in the Under 6 to Under 8 competitions, as stated above, we will be delivering training 2 sessions a week every Monday and Thursday 4.30-5.15pm, and games on the weekend. They will be presented with the opportunity to compete against other children from other clubs from the Brisbane Metro Region.

For children in the Under 9 to Under 11 competitions, we will be delivering training 2 days a week, every Monday 5.30-6.30pm and every Thursday 5.30-6.30pm, and games on the weekend. 

They will be presented with the opportunity to compete against other children from other clubs from the Brisbane Metro Region.

We will also be offering an end of season celebration for all the children that have participated in the competition to celebrate their achievements.

Cost

The costs for registration for the competition is as follows:

Under 6 to Under 8s

$685 including the training kit consisting of shirt and socks for the player to keep.

The game kit - which will remain the property of the Brisbane Strikers.

Under 9s to Under 11s

$685 including the training kit consisting of shirt and socks for the player to keep.

The game kit - which will remain the property of the Brisbane Strikers.

Payment plans

The Brisbane Strikers also offers a great payment plan under Zip pay that allows you to join now and pay later in installments that you control and works for your budget.

Safety

For children to participate in the Mini Roos competition they must wear soccer boots and shin pads. We also encourage the children to have a water bottle and sunscreen at all times.
