Brisbane Strikers FC are thrilled to confirm the appointment of Vedran Becirbegovic as the club’s new Senior Head Coach.
A part of the club’s 1997 NSL winning playing squad, Vedran proved his coaching acumen with Souths United, leading the club up the divisions where they eventually reached the FQPL finals in 2018 and is also a former Strikers FC academy coach.
“I am very privileged to be appointed as the club’s Senior Head Coach and I am looking forward to getting right to work with the players,” said Vedran.
“As a former player I know the standards expected of the club and it is very exciting to be able to return in this way.”
As well as this appointment, the club have also welcomed back former Head Coach David Large who will act as a mentor for Vedran.
“I look forward to continuing the history of player development and assisting the Strikers to continue this legacy,” said David upon his return to the club.

Club Chairman Bruce Atterton-Evans expressed his delight in being able to secure the services of Vedran who he believes will be able to hit the ground running with the playing squad.
“We are very happy to be able to welcome Vedran back to the club and believe he is well placed to be successful in his new position,” said Atterton-Evans.
“Vedran has proven his abilities to develop young players throughout his coaching career and is excited to take on the challenge.”
Vedran will take charge of his first game this Sunday at home to Eastern Suburbs at 6:00pm in the NPL QLD.
