Brisbane Strikers is pleased to announce the appointment of Jade North as the club’s new Board Director. Jade is a proud Indigenous emerging leader from Biripi people Taree, Northern NSW. Jade was a professional football player who played and was Vice-Captain for the A-League club Brisbane Roar.
Jade is one of the first Indigenous players to Captain the Socceroos, with 41 senior international appearances, competing twice as an Olympian, and winning the A-League Championship twice. Jade is the Founding Director of the Kickin with Cuz Foundation which is an indigenous football program designed to inspire kids to make better life choices. Jade has work experience as a Client Relationship Manager with Vivid Property Services, was a previous owner of an Indigenous steel fabrication company, and is currently the Indigenous Participation Manager for Hutchinson Builders.
